Crépuscule

The Crépuscule watch represents the gentle transition between the light and dark times that make up a day. Its dial, adorned with a soft and deep blue enamel gradient, reveals the different temporalities of a day. As it turns, the two enameled discs gently bring forth a time that shifts from light to dark. The central hand, at the heart of the dial, invites the wearer to focus their gaze on their own “daytime period.”

Crépuscule reminds us of the instinct to look up at the sky to see how much daylight we have left. The absence of indexes on the watch reinforces the notion of time as fluid and intangible, and the central hand, by focusing attention on our own perception of the day, creates an intimate connection with the wearer. The choice of enamel as the colored element highlights Renaux-Tixier’s expertise in fine and precious pieces, as well as the desire to achieve deep, powerful color tones. Like an ode to the essential, this watch presents the ambivalence of the sun’s luminance and the deep intensity of night. The poetry of the elements rotating at the center of the watch offers a new reading of time throughout the day by indicating our “daylight reserve.”
